Math Literature - Mummy Math

Mummy Math, An Adventure in Geometry by Cindy Neuschwander is a great book for kids to be introduced to Geometric Solids (3D Shapes).

The main characters, Matt and Bibi, have been invited to Egypt with their famous scientist parents to find the mummy of an ancient pharaoh.

In this adventure story, the students will be introduced to cones, cubes, sphere, cylinders, pyramids, tetrahedrons, and prisms. They will learn that the flat sides of geometric solids are called faces as they accompany Matt, Bibi, and their dog Riley on this fun Egyptian mystery.

The last page "A Note To Teachers and Parents' contains great suggestions for fun ways to teach geometric solids.

Have fun reading this math adventure!
